Providing goodness parcels Making a Difference at Ramadan: The Jude’s Foundation’s Goodness Parcel Program
Report on the Ramadan Food Parcels Programme 2023
The Jude’s Foundation
The Jude’s Foundation distributed Ramadan food parcels to poor families in different governorates of Jordan in 2023. This distribution is an annual event that aims to help families meet their basic needs during the holy month of Ramadan. The Foundation focuses on targeting families with specific criteria, such as widows, divorcees, families with disabled children, and large poor families.
The Foundation studied the needs of families in poor areas and identified and registered families in need of food assistance. The Foundation then coordinated with local associations to distribute the parcels. The distribution was carried out in open spaces near the homes of the families, and each family received a number that was sent to them the day before the distribution to ensure that they received the assistance and to prevent duplication.
Some families were unable to reach the distribution points due to illness or old age. These families were visited by the Foundation and provided with assistance. The Foundation also distributed parcels to informal settlements in the outskirts of the governorates, where most of the residents are of Syrian or Palestinian origin and do not have national identification numbers.
The Foundation distributed 750 parcels in total. The types of food items were chosen to meet the needs of families during the holy month of Ramadan.
Areas Where the Parcels Were Distributed
- Jeda, Salt Governorate: 100 parcels
- Jarash Refugee Camp, Jarash Governorate: 220 parcels

- Al-Thneah, Karak Governorate: 50 parcels
